I'm pretty happy with all the wins, except that Sean Penn's Into the Wild -- which was inexplicably passed over for a Best Pic nomination -- didn't win in the Best Cinematography category, which it so richly deserved to do.

The TV news just said this year's Oscars was the least watched Oscar show in history.

The red carpet segment is my wife's favourite part. We are both movie fans, and it's a tradition for us to enjoy a nice sashimi dinner while watching the Oscars every year. I just have to catch up on watching some of the films that won awards.
