    Michael Ansara RIP

Just heard through the digital grapevine but has not been confirmed yet by places like IMDB. Dude was 91, quite a long life. He was great as Kang but did so much other great work.

Yeah, he was a great character actor. Real good at playing the bad guy. 91 is a ripe old age, but he will be missed. RIP Michael.

Darn, cool actor. I didn't know he was married to Barbara Eden for a few years.

^I forgot to mention he signed a picture of Kane from Buck Rogers for me...he was sitting alone at a table with no one around. He was so flattered that I remembered him. Just a class act all the way around.

One of my all time favorites since I was a little kid. The greatest Klingon ever. The model fur the Terminator. The best Mr Freeze put to film. Like Ted Cassidy, one of the true classical TV greats.

Dwayne - when did you meet him in Cleveland?

Geez...it had to be at least six or seven years ago. It was at a show called the sports and entertainment expo something or other...I met Adam West at the same show, along with Butch Patrick and Joyce DeWitt...and I can't remember his name, but the guy who played Don West in Lost In Space.
I got signed photos from all of them.

Badass actor for sure. He had a commanding presence in everything he did. Sad he didn't get more work. Loved his apperance on DS9, great tribute.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I agree with everything already said. Powerful actor, with a great presence. Like an angrier Ricardo Montablan in a lot of ways. I can hear Victor Fries' voice in my head right now.

                            Really? That recent?

I gave up on looking for him at cons a few years before then, after his son died. I'm surprised I didn't hear about that show, because my brother has always follows the different bookings, but he probably didn't know who he was. I would spent the afternoon talking to him.

I started continuously watching BTAS after I saw a Freeze episode. Dini/Timm even said it was to callback his Outer Limits "Soldier" character.

You know what? You're absolutely right...I got my actors mixed up. I dug out my box of photos, and the guy I met was Henry Silva, not Michael Ansara. They both played Kane on Buck Rogers...that's what threw me off. They also happen to look very much alike. Anyway...Henry Silva was a very nice guy.
