    Any Adventure Time fans?

I know I might be asking this question to the wrong demographic, but I found this show a few months back and wonder how I had missed it for so long. Just a really well done cartoon with a lock on whatever I would have wanted to watch/do as a kid....and an adult too!

I resisted letting my kids watch it. I still question it, but they love it. I can't say I'm too fond of what I've seen. I guess I'm an old fogey, but none of CN's hit shows do anything for me. This, Gumball and Adventure Time just aren't my thing. I'm not the demographic they are after though.

My son watches this at his grandmothers house. After hearing him talk about it at length, I sat down to watch it with him and like most everything else on cartoon network, was not won over.

I love it. It's imaginative, silly and fun. I guess it's not for everyone - but I'm totally with you kerowack, when I was a kid this is EXACTLY the kind of nonsensical humor I was drawn to. It reminds me of Rocky and Bullwinkle.

Also, it employes a really talented artist friend of mine - so I'm 100% for it!

Have to admit,it's a different take on a post apocalyptic world.

                    Hmmmm....

Good show. It's like "Thundarr the Barbarian" written by a 6 year old. I'm surprised at how much back story it has, and how many genuinely depressing episodes they've snuck in.

Love adventure time. First time I watched it I was really put off by how annoying the intro song is, but now I kinda like it. Do kids still watch cartoons? Back in the day the only chance you had was saturday morning. Now adays cartoons are 24/7 with hundreds of other forms of entertainment.

I actually told my kids to stop watching it because I knew way too many adults who loved it. Then I watched it, damn it's weird and well crafted but I can't say it's toxic. I watch it with them sometimes, very odd and quite funny.

I've watched a few episodes. It is definitely imaginative and well written. Doesn't seem to do much for my kids, though they are still kind of young. We all love Regular Show and The Looney Toons Show.

We held off a long time before letting the kids watch it, but they were immediately sucked in. I do like the stories dealing with Finn liking various girls. I think it's a good model for my kids.

                              >Do kids still watch cartoons?

Yup. To that end, I'm amazed at how many folks at work have kids who love it, while the parents can't stand it. (Which of course encourages me to sing the many songs from the show. "Makin' bacon pancakes...!")

                              >Back in the day the only chance you had was saturday morning

....and weekday mornings, which were mostly old reruns.... and after school, which was mostly new HB syndicated stuff, or Japanese dubs.... and Sunday morning, which is when all the cool imported giant robot, ultra violent stuff was on. (I found out later it was because the people most likely to complain and write angry letters were either sleeping in or at church and not likely to see the shows....)

                              >I actually told my kids to stop watching it because I knew way too many adults who loved it.

...? That seems odd. What am I missing?
