I think I remember a similar problem with one of the teletubbies toys. My sister had one that sounded like it was saying something vulgar but I can't remember what it was.

Also, was it the talking monkey from the Lion King that sounded like he was saying something like "shoving bananas up your ..."?

I saw this thing on the news the other day. I didnt hear "kill James"...I heard it saying something racially intolerant. The girlfriend thought it said Kiss John?
Maybe Elmo just has a speech impediment?
Either way,since the Mom felt "compelled" to call in the news, I agree with you guys that this toy will be on e-bay soon.
