Dawson's Creek. I won a $50 bet on it and actually got paid.

I had a watch party for the Seinfeld finale and served Muffin tops and Snapple, but the party was more fun than the show.

MASH finale stands out to me, and that Happy Days finale was good, too, but I didn't see it until recently.

I may be totally wrong, but it seems that MaSH was the first show that made a big deal out of its final episode.

I guess my favorite is the final episode of the Justice League Animated series. That last show did a nice job of not only wrapping up the JLA but also Batman Beyond.

The Fugitive was the first show to end with a "finale" that wrapped things up.
NEWHART had the best ending episode for me.

MASH above all others, I watched it 3 times in a week and cried every time.
DS9 was good and it did something crazy, it showed people moving on and going seperate ways.
Voyager was bad. Future Janeway messing up timelines like crazy where were the 29th century time cops for that one.

That was the FIRST final episode, titled "Epilogue". And yes, it's a good one. A wrap-up to the Timmverse...and then they got another season. The actual last episode "Destroyer", is more of a free-wheeling finale, with lots of action, but still some great character bits, including Superman cutting loose on Darkseid. It hit me that the plot is essentially the same as Man of Steel. Darkseid's machines are remaking Earth into a new Apokolips. Darkseid and Supes get in a fight that levels half the city. I love how the characters run toward the camera at the end. The JLI is grouped together, the Ditko characters, the satelite league... great stuff.

The Final MST3K episode. Mike and the bots get back to Earth and end up in Mike's basement watching The Crawling Eye and the implication that they would be there watching bad movies for a while.

And the last one they show is Batman, going full circle. That was a cool touch there.

Yes, a great way to end it. It fades to black on Batman's chest logo as he runs toward the camera.

On the flip side of that, my son HATES the last episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. He felt cheated that they admitted Batman was fake. I've talked to him about it, and he gets what they were trying to do, but it really seemed to bother him when it aired. I think he was 9 at the time, so I understand. He LOVES the show, but he still hates that finale. And maybe they did go too meta with the whole "none of this is real" thing. It may be too clever for it's own good.

Not weird Mike. I wasn't happy that Sisko found out that he died when he scuffled with Gul Dukat. Also I thought it was nice how they touched upon every subplot sort'a wrapping up or moving on. I wish they had cast a classic TV actor in the role of the Admiral. Maybe Adam West would'a been nice. He could've shown his more serious acting chops.

Newhart WAS genius. I didn't quite get it, because I had never watched the previous show. My mom fell of the couch laughing when Susan Phlisette rolled over in bed.

Newhart was fantastic. Totally took me of guard.

The last episode that always sticks with me for some reason is Felix getting remarried to Gloria on the Odd Couple and Oscar being so happy that he can be messy again.
                          It's all good!

"The Larry Sanders Show" is probably my favorite. It did everything great all the way to the end. The last insights into Larry, Hank and Artie all added dimension to the characters. A solid high note - and very very funny.

I don't tend to think much about the last episode of any series that was given a proper send off, so much as the shows that never got one. And those are many.
