Not enough variety with new Megos

I have been waiting patiently for over 20 years for the WGSH Megos 8 inch line to come back. While I think the new Megos look awesome, do they really need to make both Batman and Robin with removeable masks and without. I will buy the new Batman and Robin but not both versions unless the price makes sense. Duplicating the same characters is not going to get the casual collector excited. I hope this line does well. I pray they can make all the WGSH like they did back in the 1970's.

One thing CTVT's has going for them, they so far have a reputation of being very affordable.

I would personaly rather have 20 new Megos from both the DC and Marvel line than 20 different versions of Batman. Just my opinion. I would love the chance to buy the Fantastic 4, Isis, Iron Man Thor, etc.

Marvel characters would be great but for now I'm perfectly content with brand new reissues of the DC characters. Between Bif Bang Pow, EMCE, NECA and what Castaway / ZICA has in store that's plenty enough variety for me

At the time they announced these,all they had was the rights to Batman.

I think they're doing fine so far it would be nice to have the Marvel Megos as well but they don't have the license.

Lets give FTC a chance to finish putting out the Batman waves and then make a decision. If the fourth wave is not Superman than you can complain. I would like to see:

Superman
Clark Kent
Supergirl
Zod

Batman, 6MDM, Tarzan, Conan, Dr. Who, Action Jackson, Freddy and Jason, Universal Monsters and lots of others seems like a lot of variety to me. With the Batman line CTVT is repoping everything Mego did Batman wise first and already hinting at expanding with an Alfred figure.

You have to realize even though they are doing repro figuires to make it accessible to all. Say your just starting out and look at the line. You'd wonder where Batman and the top tier villains are? Plus it's the best chance for good sales, so selling lots of Batman figures (in theory) will make future waves more likely.

yes, they were given permission to the DC Vaults except for movie characters.

Yeah, they have the whole DC Universe at their disposal, be patient.

Support the line... that is the best way to ensure future releases. Heck even if you buy the ones you don't care about and give those to a kid. The more we buy the more they will make, that's a fact...

Best advice you could get!! My son is super into the hobby already. Loves the 8 inch format... We need more kids interested and involved to keep this hobby alive!!
Plus its just plain fun to give a kid a superhero toy and watch them play with it. NOTHING IS BETTER!
