...the new Tom Hanks movie "Saving Mr. Banks" is NOT a sequel to "Joe Versus the Volcano".

(Yes, I'm one of 5 people who truly loves "Joe Versus the Volcano". Please feel free to add your own observations about Earth to this thread.)

Being a Disney fan, I'm really looking forward to the Saving Mr Banks movie. I had read different places about the hard time Walt had getting the Mary Poppins property. It will be fun to see things like the Sherman brothers working on the music and Tom Hanks portrayal of an American icon.

The movie itself seems harmless enough. At worst, maybe a little familiar seeming, but "The King's Speech" used this exact story formula, and that movie was excellent.

In the unfairly maligned "Joe Versus the Volcano" Tom Hanks played a character named Joe Banks, which is what I was reacting too.
