Minnesota Iceman: Mysterious Frozen Creature From '60s Resurfaces At Museum

It would be great if this was examined properly and turned out to be a real Bigfoot body. We will have to wait and see:

This is allegedly a photo of its face-taken a long time ago. That look very intriguing:

Even if we take this HuffPo article at face value (which I tend not to do with the HuffPo) this doesn't seem as though the new owner has any intention of examining it though, seems like he's more interested in selling the mystery of the whole thing in his "museum", no?

Ever watch Shipping Wars on A&E?

They did an episode based around shipping this thing from one museum to another.

The new owner's intent probably is to display it but he's going to be approached by the researchers like Meldrum and Sarimentio. I wonder if he'll let them get close to it.

I would be much more intrigued if either of those guys examined it, and said there was something to this, for sure!

My feeling is that if there is any legitimacy to mystery of this carcass (or whatever it is) then the owner will let scientists examine it hoping he has something genuinly interesting, but if he's knowingly perpetuating a fraud he obviously won't legit scientists near the thing.

I wonder what would happen if people complained to the local authorities? I wonder if they could get a warrant to examine it based on suspicion that it might be human?

                  Crazy!

                  And then there's this:

And the money shot: "The Smithsonian Institution…is satisfied that the creature is simply a carnival exhibit made of latex rubber and hair…the 'original' model and the present so-called 'substitute' are one and the same."

Seriously, how freakin' lazy is that HuffPo writer?! The wikipedia article footnotes 4 sources, 3 of which were scanned and can be read online.
