Hello All,
I'm new to the forums here and wanted to get some advice from people I trust know more about Mego figures than I do. I recently became aware that the Mego Elastic Stretch Hulk Armstrong Figure I have had since I was a kid is now worth a few dollars and is actually rare. I also have the original Stretch Armstrong.
I am going to be selling this childhood toy that I have managed to hold on to for 30-some odd years but it not in perfect condition. After taking it out of storage I was faced with a small tear in the right fist, on the opposite (left) fist it looks as if there is a seam where the tear is on the right fist, so perhaps this seem opened up over the years. I'm unsure how much this will effect the value. I do not plan on trying to make an amerature patch job, but rather leave that to someone who specializes in repairs like this and knows what they are doing. Which will be the responsability of whomever purchases this rare toy. As of now I have it laying on his side to keep the gel from that arm, running to the other body parts, so it does not drain to the tear. There are a couple other little imperfections that I will point out when I get pictures uploaded.
So, any comments or recommendations? What am I looking at price wise? I do plan on listing this Mego Stretch Hulk on ebay in the near future. I have not taken pictures yet, but will more than likely do that today. I do not have the outer carboard sleave (box), just the figure and the molded styrofoam that hes been in for all these years. On a sad note, I remember (quite a few years back) throwing away the Stretch Monster because the gel was leaking out, but I may still have the head.
