Windows 8?

Is it that bad? I want to get my mom a new laptop and they all come with windows 8, but I see a lot of people complaining about it. Is that bad? And check out this deal Wally's has seems hard to beat.

It's like a tablet and a desktop software system had a baby except you can't touch the screen. It's pretty weird and confusing if you're coming from windows 7. A friend of mine told me they're coming out with an upgrade or mod to make it more like 7.

That's the problem with Windows. There's always a huge letdown after the new version comes out after the really popular OS. Look at what happened when Vista came out after XP. Now the same thing is happening with 8.

My wife, recently. got a laptop, it's operating system is Windows 8, and she doesn't care for it. It can be pretty difficult to navigate.
