David D. "Deacon" Jones (December 9, 1938 – June 3, 2013)

I'll always rememeber him from a guest shot on the Odd Couple

Great NFL player who spent the better part of his career with the Rams. A true sportsman of the game and often interviewed for NFL films. RIP Deacon.

Just to stay on topic, yeah, football is a very tough game, the majority rarely reach 70, but he beat that by four years, so he lived pretty long, still, sad news regardless.
