    Tales From the Darkside

Chiller has added this to its lineup, I've started DVRing them some I remember some I don't. Not bad for 80's TV . Anyone else remember this show?

Fun show, but it sure looks cheap now. I liked "Monsters" even better.

Remember what a fun ride first-run syndication was back then? I miss the variety of genre shows in those early cable days.

and for arguments sake, the ones airing on chiller feature all of the original untouched music since a good chunk of it had to be changed or removed on the dvd releases due to bull**** rights issues

LOVED that show! If you notice on the review I did on the KISS retro figures, I paid tribute to this anthology series that has helped mold me into the odd duck that I am today. About mid way through it...

Thats a great review of those figures, and I love the Dark Side tie in right there in the center of it with the music, and even changing to black and white. Another great example of the high, fun quality work that you do. Thanks for sharing this Jim.

I appreciate that Ben but in all reality I'm just a dork who has retained a sick amount of general pop culture knowledge. And I wouldn't have it any other way

I watched TFTDS regularly during its original run, and they recently re-ran the whole series over here, which was cool. There were some great episodes in that show.

Loved the series overall, as well as "Friday The Thirteenth", but some of the episodes were kind of hit and miss. Same thing for "FtTh".

"Monsters" was a favorite for a long time; it was kind of a low budget version of Tales From the Darkside, where a lot of people that are big now were getting their start.

Okay, some of THEIR episodes were clunkers, especially when it came to the sets, but overall it was a fun series.

The episode I remember best was the old man who didn't know he was dead. Loved the part where he sneezed off his nose. IIRC Christian Slater was the grandson.
