Chicken breast is soaking right now, gonna do it on the grill with some potatoes and some andouille sausage. Rice will get done in the steamer, just add some corn and peppers to it, and topped off with some cheesy corn bread. And the beverage of choice this time came back with us from the Duty Free store a couple weeks ago.
To toast all of or brave Heros past and present...
Beef and chicken sliders, wings, Skirt steak, Pulled Pork, veggie kabobs, seasoned marinated portobello mushrooms, potato salad, Paula Deans corn casserole, baked Mac n cheese, fried peppers and onions, corn on the cob, chicken kabobs and Italian skinny sausage... Whewww I'm full already lol ooooh almost forgot the hot dogs
All the food sounds great. It's nice that everyone takes just a moment to think of the soldiers lost, raise your glass to them. Me, my father and grandfathers served. My grandfather on my moms side was killed in WW2 fighting for the British. I love this quote by Patton though "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived."
