I also have to change the gear ratio...looking for a box from a 1995 Mustang or newer...hopefully something with 3:27, 3:55, or 3:73 gears.
I would shoot for the 355 gears.

SWEET! That reminds me when I helped a friend of mine put in a 351 Windsor in his '69 Stang when we were in our early 20's. We had rebuilt it from the block up. As I'm sure you know, it's fun watching these motors come to life after a fresh rebuild. All that steam rises up from the motor. The funny thing was when we were trying to get her cranked, my buddy didn't have the air-fuel mixture set just right on the carb. And between that and pouring fuel into the carb, when it did crank over, it blew flame out the back tail pipe. I saw that and said to my buddy, "Mike you just torched your folks back yard." It was a beast. Congrats on the new install! That is nice!

I thought about going with a 351 Windsor, but my 64 engine bay is smaller than a 69, and there were tons of extra modifications I had to do...going with a small block was best for my special needs.

That thing looks evil! Can't wait to see pics after installation.

Have you win your Mustang at the Car Show? Where's your trophy? (J/K!)

That's 'cause ya did posted in my old thread that you don't like Car Shows and Trophies.

                      Ya said:

"I'd rather see pictures of your old cars, that would be more awesome than the trophies.

What you want is a decent daily driver, no need for frame off stuff not a show car for museum purposes, have fun with it"
                      .

That's offend me all about my '67 Firebird project.

BTW, your Mustang looks awesome with high performance engine, congrats!

That was my quote, not Pat's, lol.

Pat, I never said I had trophies nor do I care for them, you did. But we shouldn't argue about it, I'm sure you are going to restore your Firebird really nice, keep us posted.

Anyway, thanks for the ongoing compliments guys!
