I can proudly admit I haven't seen top gun either. Nor will I unless I am held captive and forced to. Not begging for my life will be under srong consideration if push comes to shove.

I saw Avatar a month or two ago.
I wish I hadn't bothered.
And even though I'm a horror fan, I don't waste my time on things like Saw. They're at Saw VI now or something?.

I'm scratching my head over the hate for Saw and Top Gun. They're not cinematic breakthroughs or anything, but both seem to be doing exactly what they're suppose to do.
I thought Saw was inventive, demented and a kooky - which is exactly what I'm usually looking for in a horror movie. Part 2 was even nuttier, but I haven't seen any of the others yet.
Top Gun was over the top, loud, mindless fun - with some crazy action scenes - exactly what I want from a summer blockbuster. Plus, as a 13 year old I really appreciated the big sex scene and uh, Kelly McGuillis' performance.
Maybe both get over celebrated too much so it causes a backlash?Comment

Top Gun is one of those movies in time. You had to see it when it came out. Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer were blowing up in the 80's. Trying to watch it 20 years later doesn't work for some movies that much. Same with Dune, loved it in the 80's. Watched it again recently and it was blahh.Comment

I have not seen any full versions of the Twilight movies.
I have seen like two 7 minute stretches of it on regular TV, was horrified, confused, appalled, and nauseous.
...no offense to any Twilight fans.*sparkles*
