There was a kids' TV show in the UK in the early-mid seventies called "Mr Trimble". One of the characters was a puppet cat named Brindley.

I moved to Perth (Australia) in '76 and in 1979 a local Perth kids' show called "Dr Featherweather's Wonderful Workshop" began, and one of the characters was the same cat puppet, still called Brindley. I guess the puppeteer emigrated too.

Slim is burned into my memory! I think it held the record for the best selling mail-order album for many years- and I still don't really know who he is.

I guess my random memories are also commercial based. One in particular was for a clothing store called Ideal. I think it was in New Jersey somewhere, but it had an annoying sticky jingle that I catch my self unconsciously singing even today!
