I had originally planned on watching the show to give it the benefit of the doubt. Then before it actually came on I changed my mind thinking that it was going to be cheesey and a waste of my time. According to the most of the responses here I appeared to have been correct in my thinking. The car looks cool on the commercials. For me atleast I wish they would have kept with the original Knight Rider in keeping KITT a TransAM. The new 2009 Transam is neat looking and if it turns out anything like the pictures that I have seen I will be buying one to add to my Pontiac collection of real cars that I own. That is of course of different story so I will not stray too far from the topic here. Maybe if I get real bored some day I may bring myself to watch the new Knight Rider. Is is just me or all of the new/old remake shows totally different then the originals? For instance and only as one example Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke? C'mon now! Don't get me wrong I LOVE Jessica and I am not a hater by any means. I hope that when she gets done dating all of the other losers that she will settle down with me. I would just like to see the characters in the newer remakes be closer in appearance to the originals that is all. Burt Reynold's as Boss Hog? Get more real! Not even close!!

Just when I thought NBC was giving up on cheesy TV by cancelling Las Vegas, they renewed my faith by replaying this piece of Gouda!

I didnt find it any worse than the old Knight Rider series.
One thing I did like, it seems the series will follow the stand alone episode formula that is almost history. Monk (far and away one of the best shows on tv I think) is the only other show that I can think of that follows this "old school" style of production. I keep trying to give new shows like Heroes and Bionic Woman a chance, but they write in these overcooked long running stories that drag out over a season (or seasons). I HATE that. I dont live in front of my tv, nor do I want to feel I have to lest I miss a small tidbit of the real plot. I really miss the good old days when you could sit down and watch the A-Team or somesuch and not have to worry about not being in the loop because I missed the last two episodes! I want escapist popcorn for the mind.....not to get sucked into a crappy soap opera!

I am with you on that one. I am not a big TV fan either. There are only a "couple" of shows worth watching to me that really hold my interest. I to have tried some of the newer shows to at least give them the benefit of the doubt and I was not pleased by most.

Speaking of The A-Team that WAS a good show for the time. I suppose some "genius" will try and reinvent the wheel again and redo the A-Team in the near future if plans are not already in the works. Gee...I just cannot wait to see who they cast for this one to ruin the original like they have done so many of the other original classics. Mr. T's role will probably be done by Carrot Top. Let's hope not! For the sake of decent programming and all of humanity.

Dr. Phil's infamous quote "Are you kidding me?". It is not the same without Big Ed Devine. He was a lot better at the part than Tom Selleck is in my opinion atleast.

I finally forced myself to actually sit down and watch the new Knight Rider and it actually was not too awfully bad. Thanks to my girl friend, I was able to catch the first episode as it was already a rerun. It was bearable. I am not so sure that I will continue to watch the series though. It wasn't THAT good. The new KITT was OK. It would have been much better if KITT would have been the newer 2009 Trans Am in keeping it close with the original series line atleast. Just my opinion. To each their own.
