I used to love Channel 29's monster theatre Saturday afternoon.

They used to have a candle in the intro

I worked at Carvel for 3 years during high school and for years into college. I remember making all those cakes, hug me, whale, cookiepuss. 25 years later I still think its the best icecream around.

I thought they were all made in a factory and shipped and sold at the the stores

Yep, I remember Carvel well. It was my dad's favorite ice-cream. I have a framed pic of he and I on his birthday when I was about 5. We're sitting in front of his birthday cake and off to the side is a Carvel bucket. Whenever he took us out for ice-cream, it was at Carvel. I think my first ice-cream cake was from Carvel. But it wasn't a shaped cake, just round. And I miss those commercials on WPIX in NYC.
