MM Photographers, i just purchased a MONSTER lens

I've been thinking about getting one for over a year. I just finished working a 29-day turnaround at work (4:30am - 4:30pm), so I finally decided to treat myself to it

I am a Canon man, plus after dropping what I dropped on this lens, my camera equipment buying will be VERY limited for a year or so. I think my next purchase will be another camera so I don't have to swap lenses all the time.

I usually have a 70-300mm lens on my "critter" camera, and dream of something larger. Once, while in Yellowstone, I asked a nearby wolf watcher what his BIG lens cost. His reply, "More than your car". Sigh,....

About 15ft but there was a chain link fence between us. They are wild (not in a zoo), but have basically become pets of this little Cajun tourist place near my house. The swamp backs up to the place.
