Thanks, NBA. Maybe Chris Hanson should focus on Hockey. The Thunderbirds would make a decent addition to the NHL, IMO.

It had to do with #1 Howard Schultz, #2 Our p*ssy mayor, and #3 David Stern having a stick up his a55 because he was told the state wasn't going to fund a new arena. So he helped sell us down the river to OKC. So no, we didn't lose the team. A stupid business man who bought the team for the glorification of his massive ego, then realized it's not like running a coffee company, sold us out to an owner who he knew would move the team.
David Stern keeps changing the relocation rules to benefit him. He held Sacramento's hand throughout this entire process and made sure they knew exactly what the NBA needed to hear in order to remain viable. The Chris Hansen/Steve Balmer offer + new arena deal blows the Sac groups offer out of the water. But now Stern doesn't care about the arena plan - the most important issue now is that Sac has supported the NBA for 30 years, so they should stay. Yet that wasn't a positive for Seattle which had a franchise for 41 years.
Chris Hansen should still buy the Kings - which is still in play - and let them rot in Sacramento for a few years while he insists the public pony up $500 mil for a new arena, then apply to move again. This isn't over though. All they did was vote on relocation...the NBA cannot tell the Maloof's who they can or cannot sell to.Comment

Why not? OKC got a team at the expense of Seattle. Are we now saying the NBA should cease all relocation forever after the Sonics move? What if we wanted to relocate the Bobcats? Or the Bucks? When do we stop saying "Seattle deserves a team but not at the expense of XYZ"? The NBA isn't going to expand +1 because of an unbalanced schedule, and they aren't going to expand +2 because they're afraid of diluting the revenue sharing for the existing teams.Comment
