James West vs. James Kirk...who would win?

YES, YES, YES!!!

I used to LOVE WWW when I was little. I didn't always get the jokes (at that age, who does?), but I loved the action and the animation sequences.

James West vs. James Kirk?

Easy peasy, James West wins.

He's someone that's been trained to fight, and fight well.

Kirk has been trained to be a Starfleet Officer, which doesn't place that much emphasis on using brawn. They are more about using their brains.

Besides, JW had cooler gadgets! A derringer in his sleeve, plastic explosive in his shoes, a wire saw in his collar/jacket lapel, and I think at least one dagger strapped to his leg.

Sure, he'd get knocked out and tied up at first, but he'd always find a way out of it, and kick bad guy butt!

1. Kirk was trained to fight also...let's not forget, he defeated a genetically superior "superman" as well as a Gorn in hand to hand combat.
2. I specifically said no weapons, so West's gadgets are out, but if you want to include them, the guy who brings a knife boot to a phaser fight is gonna lose BIG TIME.
3. To quote you..."Sure, he'd (West) get knocked out and tied up at first" Exactly! When that happens, the match is over.

I'm a fan of both shows and a western fan far and above anything else but Star Trek TOS wins hands down even the third season over any season of www.

I can buy West over Kirk in a close one, but Spock would clean Artemas Gordon's clock in short order and apply the Vulcan neck (nerve) pinch to West while he was daring Kirk to knock a battery of his shoulder.
