It's so hard to me to place a label on the stuff I listen to in the context of someone else's thread title.
Like, for example, is an album that TRIED to be commercial and failed an option for this thread?
How about a non-commericial-type album that has a radio-friendly tune on it (Pink Floyd comes to mind).
I like music threads, though. So, I'm sure I'll commment on others' posts."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

This gets airplay here in Seattle on the commercial adult contemporary station run by Clear Channel.
Always shake my head. Great stuff and there is a movie drama that came out about him and his dad, "Greetings from Tim Buckley".

The Frogs "It's Only Right and Natural"
It's like two filthy drug addicts stole The Beatles talent Space Jam style and then made one of the most hilarious and offensive albums of all time.

Great thread, FYI I even write for a music blog sometimes
When The Sun Hits Interviews Patrick Fitzgerald. As a long time fan, I was so thrilled to be able to get an interview with Patrick ...
The blog site does take a second to load fully

"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

One of my all time favorites is Nadine, an alt-country band out of St. Louis. Kind of Wilco. Kind of Jayhawks. Their album Downtown, Saturday is one of the best road trip albums I've come across. They toured in Europe for a while, but never really made the dent in American airplay that folks in St. Louis expected, even after they signed with Pete Yorn's personal label. You can't go wrong with any of their 4 albums, (the aforementioned Downtown, Saturday; Lit up from the Inside; Back to My Senses; and Strange Seasons).
Here's a YouTube link to my favorite song on the album, So That I Don't Miss You.
