Who knows. Call up the TRU in Torrance and ask if they still have them in the back. Tell them you just saw a photo of them. LOL

Some folks don't do FB so thought they might be curious about the other photos.

I use to frequent the TRU in Rosemead and Van Nuys. Miss those places.

I never went into a TRU until the 80s.

                      Neither did I.

But that may be due, at least in part, to the fact that I was only a fetus in the 70s.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

Well, I knew about TRU in the 70s. But 1)There wasn't one near me, they were out in the burbs, and 2)Even if there was, my mom wouldn't have taken me there, b/c I wouldn't have been able to handle it. A toy section in a department store was bad enough, but a whole store? I would have lost my mind!

I remember the grand opening at our toys r' us (now closed) having a 'parade' with Jefferey and many others dressed up as popular characters in the early '80s. I should have asked for a camera when I was a kid...

Does toys r' us still do this?

I have a similar TRU photo from about the same time frame, possibly early 80's. Even at a larger size I couldn't tell what was in the background other than that it looks like board games.

Toys R us as well as most toy stores are sadly in decline so I would say no.
