Draw your best Battlestar image for fun, no artisits needed - my old sketch books
Hi all,
So, the other day we had a water pipe leak and fortunately, my old sketch books from high school and college were well protected. Anyway, it gave me a chance to look through some old things that were 30 years old and boy was it fun to look at the stuff I had there. Anyway, with Sharry starting the favorite thread, thread. I thought this was a fun way to re-introduce the drawing thread I started a bit ago about drawing your version of Darkseid. Well, this time our subject is....Battlestar Galactica. Below I will describe two sketches I found by my young self from the past, but for you...you do not need to be an artist only someone with a computer or piece of paper and let's have some fun. Any subject, any version of the show, and please no hateful comments on which version one likes or not, etc.
Also, the first 10 people who post a picture and PM me their address will get one random 1978 Topps BSG card sent in the mail
Now on with the show:
Here is a sketch I remember making back in 1990, I was almost 23 years old, by myself, sitting on the beach in Ocean City and got tired of drawing the shore around me, so for whatever reason I thought of the show and wanted to see if I could still draw this stuff from memory. Pretty good I must say, but the fact that I was drawing Cylons at the beach probably explains why I was out there by myself. lol.
Next, we have an image from 1983...My attempt to look like a Frazetta. (Note the lava-like rocks and the girl wearing a Galactica Flight Jacket). I need a time machine to tell my teenage self to just stop it and go back to being myself.
