Very sad to hear. I too remember watching him and Gene on Sneak Previews on PBS when I was a kid. I always enjoyed watching and reading his reviews, he will truly be missed.

What a shame. My mom and I used to love watching Siskel and Ebert's movie review. RIP

Siskel and Ebert really helped me to grow up loving movies. I watched them every week for years. I read a very touching interview with him a few years back chronicling his struggles and his relationship with Siskel. He was also a truly great writer. I am very saddened at this news having just read that his cancer had returned. RIP Mr. Ebert.

I too had my difference of opinion with him. But he always carried himself with class and dignity. RIP Roger.
