Anybody else here wear bifocals ?

Thanks to my terrible eyesite and Benjamin Franklin's solution I now have to wear line-bifocals.

Had them since last week but I still cant get used to them.

No matter what I do it's always blurry when I watch myself pee

Does it ever get any better ?

I wear bifocals while I work then switch to contacts when I'm ready to get out. I would think the "pee" angle would be crystal clear since that would utilize the reading portion of your glasses! Me thinks they put the wrong prescription in your glasses.

I've been wearing bifocals for over 30 years. I don't even notice the line anymore, even on new glasses. So yeah, you get use to it and learn when to tilt your head up or down to see clearly.

I'm dreading this problem too. For now I'm still on the reading glasses at 1.75 and climbing lol.

Had bifocals for a litte over a year now. You get used to it. And if you still can't focus, you could always sit down.

I'm just about at the point of needing them. My mom has worn them for years and said she got used to them fairly quickly. It's amazing how your brain just naturally adjusts to the signals that your eyes send it and make everything seem normal to you before long.

This is the best option in my opinion.I really don't know why anybody would want to wear bi-focals?
Just like flying would you rather fly in a jet or a bi-plane?

I wear progressive lenses and it was treacherous at first to walk down stairs. I think the next time I get glasses, though, I'm just going to get regular glasses without the reading part. Most of the time I read without glasses, anyway. I haven't noticed my life improving in the slightest since I've gotten them.

Not a good comparison,....we will always choose the bi-plane.

P.S. I had bifocals by third grade. I never adjusted to them and was sick constantly, so away they went. Today, with my motion sickness being so much worse, I imagine bifocals could just about do me in.

I just use reading glasses, and I only use them if I read a book for a long time, I don't need them for my computer or iphone.

I don't need glasses for watching TV, movies at the theater, or driving, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

Nope I just wear glasses. I'm near sighted, so sometimes, I'll take off my glasses to read up close, or just look over the top of them, for something quick. If I'm w/o them too long, I get dizzy.
