Yeah, it was really tough to pass up. According to it's price label, there were some problems with the electronics which meant it didn't work 100% correctly. I used that as an excuse to myself to pass on it.

The Mission Control Center worked out to about $175 US.

I really wish I could have taken photos of the shelves inside of these stores, there were tons of great (and in many cases, very expensive) toys on display.

Man, that's awesome! Vintage DieCast Robot Heaven. Someone that worked with my wife would go on business trips to Japan every once in a while. When his next trip came up, I gave him some money and asked him to pick something up for me at Forest Gangu.

He came back with a nice Popy GA-81 Daitetsujen 17.

Someday I'll get there and just go nuts.

I've always wanted to check out Forest Gangu. I've got to find out where that place is next time.

Yeah, that's one thing you see all the time in Asia that you almost never see in North America. People wear them if they are sick, if they have allergies, or if they heard that the air quality wasn't going to be that great on a certain day. I got used to seeing people wearing them everywhere, it's extremely common, but could you imagine the looks you'd get if you wore one in public here.

Great Photos. Wish the TRUs here had a vinyl section of figures like that here in the states.
                          It's all good!

That surely has to be toy heavan, the closest I get is going to "forbidden planet" in london, but thats a drop in the ocean compared to what I see here. Id love to see some of the guys there, with thier collection. Theres just SO much.

There is no way I could ever go on a trip to Japan without being a millionaire first, because there's no way I'd be able to wander into their toy wonderlands and not be able to stand buying those amazing things, some of which I know I'd never see again.
Seriously, how do non-millionaires stand it?!

It's really cool seeing Bandai kaiju hanging on the store racks.
In America, we have no Kaiju on the racks@!!
                              I gots Toyyyyzzzzz

As a serious non-millionaire, my advice is that you just have to learn to look at stuff way above your price range, admire them from afar and be satisfied enough with that. Every time I go there, I'm confronted with toys I love that are selling for literally thousands of dollars each, and I just appreciate the fact that I can see them in person. You just have to discipline yourself to not whip out your credit card everytime you see some expensive toy you really want. I've passed up tons of great toys over the years (especially at the famously overpriced Mandarake stores), otherwise I'd be in serious debt by now.
