Don't place too much credence on first round performances, particularly for the lower seeds. The better teams and coaches know advancing is the only requirement in that first round.

People have kind of written Florida off, but don't be surprised if they don't make a deep run. They are healthier than the Gators were the last fourth of the regular season, they create matchup problems and when clicking can really put pressure on you because they have scorers at all five positions. They are better defensively than some give them credit and Donovan's a solid coach.

Michigan State also looks good to me.

Also, anyone else think GonzGa's big man looks like the kid from Dazed and Confused, whom Affleck was trying to paddle?

Told ya Gonzaga would go down early. Totally overrated all year. No bench and play in a bush league conference. It's party time here. Double stuff Oreos and red wine. #1 my a55.

Not always. You can't barely beat a 16 by going down to the wire and not expect to crap the bed the next game. For a low seed it should never be "survive and advance". You blow the doors off of a 16 like Louisville and Indiana did. Kansas struggled too much also.....just can't do it.

I had Wichita St beating Gonzaga. Too bad i also had Wisconsin and New Mexico in the elite 8. Other than that bracket, the only other big loss was Georgetown going down. 2 of my final 4 teams went down in the 1st round. This tournament has been as wacky as the regular season.

Yeah, Gonzaga should probably have been a 5 or 6 seed. They likely would have lost in the first round.

I sure didn't see Wisconsin or Georgetown going out so early. Those loses also screwed my bracket up. I had Georgetown in the elite 8. Wiconsin, I had beating Ohio State in the Elite 8 and, of course, headed to the final four (that was risky, I know). Sheesh..I didn't think those two teams would take a nose dive in the round of 64.

                We'll see what happens today.

                  I'm glad I didn't do a bracket this year.

Poor Iowa State. They fought a hard second half with one of their best players on the bench with injury and the refs give the game to Ohio State. That shoulda been called a block and it's a MUCH different game with moments remaining....Bummer. Hats off to Craft for hitting that clutch shot at the end, tho.....

Some great bball already today. Indiana pulled it out. Temple couldn't hit a thing down the stretch. But hey Indiana did, and they move on. Looking forward to the Miami game and of course the late game with Duke. Duke playing a ton of games at 9pm this year, and i have to think that helps them with the late start games in the tournament.

Florida Gulf Coast screwed up quite a few brackets. But are fun to watch. Would like to see them get past Florida.

Indiana goes down! Getting interesting. I still like the Cards chances.

I think Kansas ran the dreaded Pickle Roll on that last play against Michigan.

Like seeing so many high seeds go by the wayside.

Duke goes down! The Ville have the momentum and the heart of Ware who suffered that horrible leg break. I wouldn't question their will and drive to win out from here. Gutty performance by all. And when Ware broke his leg and had the bone SIX INCHES outside his skin, all he said was, "WIN THE GAME." These guys are on fire. They BELIEVE and won't take any team left for granted.
