A lot of you fellow members know of the difficult times I've had over the last 10 months, and actually the last seven years. I'd been looking forward to going to the Lexington Comic con to meet Jackson Bostwick, but the wife's health prevented that from happening. Of course I was disappointed, but life goes on right? Well, I got home form the hospital about a half hour ago and found an envelope on my doorstep. Earth2chris was thoughtful and cool enough to have Jackson personalize and sign a photo for me in my absence.
I don't even know how to descibe my appreciation for not only this act of kindness and brotherhood, but for all of the outpouring of support I've received at the Museum. I couldn't possibly have predicted that my love of little cloth-covered dollies in the 70's would lead me to such a great place and to such wonderful people. Mego wasn't just a brand, it was a vision, one that we all share in some capacity. It's a bond of great moments of the past and a bridge to better times ahead.
Plus, he drew me a badass Superman/Shazam picture that is beyond cool. Both of these items are getting mounted and framed for my geek room.
It's seriously humbling to realize how blessed I am that I stumbled upon this site back in 2007(?) Maybe this is karma kinda balancing my life out a little bit.
Thank you Chris. This was the kindest and coolest thing you could have done for me.
