If Green Lantern's power is hampered by the color yellow, is it not possible then for the kid from a Christmas Story with the yellow eyes to kick the crap out of him?
One of my favorite "AH-HA" moments in comics occurs in New Teen Titans #4. A brainwashed Titans team battles the JLA, and Robin covers JLA's ring hand with his yellow cape, and kicks ol' Hal right in the FACE!

Unless he's hitting Green Lantern directly with his eyes, then the answer is "no". GL can knock him out with a giant boxing glove to the jaw or can restrain him from the yellow eyes down and it's all good...

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

In GI Joe, if Destro wore a mask all the time how and why did his lips move when he spoke.
In Star Wars ANH, Obi-Wan gives Luke a make shift Jedi training lesson on the Falcon when he puts the helmet with the blast shield on Luke to let him learn to "trust his feelings" In the prequels we see a whole room of Jedi kids in training doing this Exact Same Training Exercise. If this was standard Jedi training, why did Han have this equipment aboard the Falcon 60 years later?
In the Wizard of Oz, why doesn't Glenda tell Dorothy she has the power to go home anytime she wants when they first meet in Munchkinland?
In Big, what happens to the family after Josh returns home since, ya know, he was presumed Kidnapped for months?
