Anyone still watch game shows? When I was a kid I watched them daily. Now I can't watch them at all. It seems weird for me when I see a modern celebrity hosting a classic game show.

Besides Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Let's Make a Deal and Price is Right I can't think of any others that don't come on the Game Show Network. But I used to watch them all the time as a kid after school. Match Game and Pyramid amoung my favorites.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

I love Match Game. I laugh til I cry watching that one! I was sad when Minute to Win It and Deal or No Deal went off the air, but I sometimes catch reruns of them on GSN."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

Hmmmm....
Not really a fan. I think one reason they've dried up is 'cos they've merged with reality shows; hence all the "Yard Sale: The Series" shows out now. You get the same vicarious kick of watching folks squabble.... like a reality show; plus the vicarious kick of seeing who wins big.... like a game show. Game shows were big a decade or so back but I think they discovered the new take is much cheaper.

Oddly enough, I saw a commercial for a new reality show in the Pickers/Pawn Stars type tradition...for GSN. No game show element involved at all, it seems.
