Anyone still go to or HAVE a good music store in there area? There pretty scarce now days it seems. I still like to go to them but when I do sometimes they do seem overpriced (like toy stores). I still like to buy records, cds, and ocassionaly a old tape.

We have Vintage Vinyl and The Princeton Record Exchange around here. VV is pricey and their albums are arranged randomly. They're good on most modern LPs (new music on vinyl) and they occasionally have some big time in store signings. Princeton Record Exchange is a huge record store that has pretty much almost everything your looking for. It can take hours to search through the entire store. Neither of these stores have tapes and The record exchanges CD collection is pretty much all used stuff. They have a very small new CD section (usually new vinyl comes with a digital download of the album) and Vintage Vinyl has a huge CD selection that I don't think sells at all."Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day I can tell you."Comment

I used to all the time, when they were plentiful. Just coll to hand out and check out the albums. Pretty much stopped when CDs took over. I've been thinking of getting a nice older turntable system though. I can't even remember what was good.Comment

Streetside Records just closed, which was a bummer to a lot of us old timers here in town. It was the place to go for music since I was a kid. Now I use Amazon to get CDs.

There was a little hole in the wall record place a few blocks from here. I bought my Groovie Ghoulies record there. But I don't even know if it's still there. I haven't been there in a year."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

Hmmmm....
We still have a really good one:
Dr. Disc Records is an independent record store from Windsor Ontario. We sell New and Used Vinyl, CDs, Films and Much More.
I go there a few times a month looking for stuff. The Windsor/Essex County/Detroit area has a huge music scene so it's not surprising we also have a decent music store.
