the only thing about Gene's book that stuck with me, was his childhood and what they dealt with in the Nazi camp.
I know Gene's a money-grubbing, back stabbing-to-get-his-business-way fool, but deep down there has to be good in him.
For example, the book and those stories. Also, even though Family Jewels is scripted to the 10th degree most likely, he does have tons of video footage of his kids from all ages. Shannon probably had a great deal to do with that, but Gene is in a bunch of that footage. Shannon - yea, gene's uber rich and gives her anything she prolly wants, and just look at how many uber-rich Hollywood marriages (or live-togethers) fail. Plus, I've seen Gene cry both on Family Jewels and during concert footage - we all know he's not that good of an actor lol.
