He doesn't have to, but if you say something and hurt someone's feelings it's cool to apologize ...I give Mikey props for that

I knew a thread like this was bound to hurt someone's feelings....cause I know if I would've lost someone close to me to a suicide I would've been upset as well

Like I said, don't judge anyone until you know....Because I truly believe that that is one of those things that could happen to anyone at any time I don't care who you are

I definitely believe it's genetic- my grandfather was manic depressive as well as my mother. But I disagree that that's the first thing people think. Too much of a generalized statement.

Depression is a terrible disease- my mother is diagnosed manic-depressive, now referred to as bipolar (my grandfather was as well). When she's down she makes irrational decisions and has attempted suicide multiple times. She goes through long periods where she can't function in society. It's debilitating and I can't imagine ever being severely depressed.

Very sad news. My heart goes out to those that loved her. No one can help her now, but there's plenty of work to be done for those she left behind. Sorry you have to go through this JDeRouen.

That's very interesting. When I was young I considered jumping.

Pretty strong opinion for someone you didn't know so well Joe. Maybe you should take a step back and re-think about it.

Suicide is selfish and never considers those who care about you. I had a very good friend who attempted it years ago and it affected a lot of ppl.

She was a teacher? What grade? The kids...half of them will be in therapy if they weren't all ready. Thats the selfish part really. Her death will always have an imprint on them.
