How often do you hit the thrift store?

I have a number of them on my work route, and get to visit each at least once a week. There's a Goodwill close to home that I stop in every day if I can, sometimes I'll even stop twice if I see some older stuff trickling out of the back. My wife thinks I'm obsessed, at least until I show her a true treasure or two.

the only one I am aware of nearby is a goodwill store and never has much, what is there is all junk. i don't go in very often

Every Wednesday and every Sunday. At least. I'd go everyday but live a good 1/2 hr to 45 Mins from the two nearest large cities. we have two small ones in my town that I get to maybe once a week.

I go 3 to 5 times a week. Thursdays and Fridays I will hit a combined total of 20 to 25.....

I go once or twice a week. There are two decent ones within a 10-15 minute drive from my job, so I hit them at lunch.

Once every 2 or 3 weeks, 90% of the time I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes (that's what she said)

I've noticed the good thrift stores are in military towns or larger cities. Ive bought tv's, books, furniture, etc, from them. Occasionally, I've bought coats and clothes from them. It just depends on what catches my eye.

Go to the decent ones maybe a few times a month. I've figured out now which ones are decent and whats not.

The toys are always newer though.....

There are currently five thrift stores in the town where I live. I visit three of them anywhere from one to four times a month. I visit the other two about every six months or so because one is way overpriced and the other just smells bad. I do find some cool books, toys and t-shirts from time to time.

the 2 closest I hit at least twice a week. there are about 3 more within 10mins that I hit at least once a week.

I'd say even the worst thrift shop I go to is still worth about a 1/2 grand to a grand in ebay sales to me a year. The key is just hitting them often as possible. Good items really don't sit on the shelves very long, especially if the thrift shop is cheap. it kills me knowing I've missed out on good stuff if I even go a week without getting out there. Plus, it's my form of entertainment. My wife thinks I'm a shopaholic, but I'm really addicted to the hunt. I rarely if ever find anything that I want, but the key is I find tons of stuff that OTHER people want.
