Buffalo Sabres Hockey player gets throat cut during game

I don't follow Hockey but this is getting a lot of news in the New York area.

During the game, player Richard Zednik trips and acidently meets up with a skating blade and then there is blood everywhere!

He cut his carotid artery!

He was rushed to the hospital and is apparently going to be okay. But Damn!

I used to follow my college hockey team. I saw all kinds of injuries, but I never saw anything like that. He is lucky to be alive.

yeah it was scary,here in Miami during the game they were saying how he had lost so much blood that he was fighting for his life.I was like man this can't be happening.He was lucky
