I am all for immigration control as well. while I am glad they are trying to do something, they are obviously going about it the wrong way. I also think the interviewer was an idiot for calling the police thugs. these are not thugs, they are police officers and they have their own orders to follow. they know they cannot force the issue, which is why they let the guy go each time.

I bet if the police check had turned up some Mexican or South American people that exact same interviewer would be applauding the cops.

EDIT: Here is Australia we have the same sort of fear-mongering TV and radio jerks, usually railing against immigrants, people on welfare benefits etc, so please don't think I'm judging your country.
