    Saw Doctor Demento tonight...

...doing a lecture at Reed College on "The Life and Music of Frank Zappa"!! I've been a huge fan of Dr. Demento since 1976. This is the second time I've seen him there. Both times I talked him after the show along with lots of other fans. Both times he asked me about the t-shirt I was wearing. Tonight I was wearing a Star Trek shirt with Spock throwing Vulcan gang signs and it says "Trek yourself before you wreck yourself". Last time it was a Shin-Chan shirt. That tells me that I wear cool shirts! He didn't ask anybody else about their shirt either time I saw him. I'm so cool!
Just thought I'd brag a little.

Oh man! This is epic! What a great story!
I grew up on The Doc and that sounds like so much fun. And I bet you have awesome tees!

As do I. If it weren't for the good Doctor I would have never seen "Weird Al" live in concert twice.

Now how did I miss this! Interesting to hear about this and curious did he talk about FZ and the Laurel Canyon music scene? Crazy conspiracy stuff about him working for the government and starting the Hippy movement in the early 60's.
