I guess they must have been barking up a storm? Otherwise, why would police find dogs at night in the middle of a forest?

Those people need to be tied to a tree with the social security cards in a bag by the tree. Actually, I believe they can be arested and charged with animal cruelity.

What was the point in taking them in the first place ? I just do not understand people anymore, it seems that nowadays they just want to be cruel just because they can and it makes me want to resign from the human race as well.

Sometimes I hate the "Human" Race...

My neighbors are moving to a rental home where they can't have pets. These days, few rental homes allow pets, so it's hard.

They asked me to help in finding the dogs a home. These are old dogs, 11 and 12. Not easy, but we ask around, make calls, Facebook friends,...
The new owner of the house (where they moved out) allows the dogs to stay on the property for a weeks more, until a home is found. Otherwise, they have to be put down. All no-kill shelters are full in winter, and regular shelters euthanize dogs over 10 years old.

Then, a miracle. A lady will take them both, somebody the new home owner knows about.
My neighbor drives them over, it all seems great. Lots of land, fenced in, a family of means.
    All's well that ends well.

That very same night, my neighbor gets a call from the police, stating that they've found her dogs, tied to a tree in the middle of a forest, their documents in a bag by the tree. Btw, it's freezing out there at the moment, the coldest night of this winter so far.

    These people make me sick...
Is it possible to resign from the Human Race"?
