If I went ANY Guns-in-Roses route,.. AFD would have to be the One. That Album was far ahead of its time, when "Butt Rock" Was Popular. It is Still great today as well. There was no "Time Period" date Stamped on the Album either. Not That Illusion 2 does,.. Just saying imo, AFD is a far superior Album.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I'd have to go with Eagles Hotel California or Desperado. The amount of radio play the singles of those albums still get is mind-boggling. And Despterado is one of the few "concept" albums that actually works and still holds up.
Bob Seger's "Live Bullet" would be my top live album.

How this even came about was I was sitting at a bar a while back and some guy was saying GNR was the best rock band of all time. Well I called BS and listed my reasons why. But after a couple beers and thinking I said to him that I maybe would give that they made some of the best albums of all time.
Then I kept thinking about it and listing to alot of music and finally came to the personal conclusion that GNR, to me did make the best rock album of all time. It was not something I did easily as I am huge Zep, Floyd, Stone, and BS fan among others.Comment

The Beatles "Revolver"
Kudos though to mentioning the first Boston lp, and Kansas. Those are both up there in my book.Comment

I'm partial to "Led Zeppelin IV (ZOSO)". For "modern" stuff I would agree on G'NR's "Appetite for Destruction". Aerosmith "Pump" is another one.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment
