LOL...all I can think of is slow moving drive-by shootings in buggys, and Jebediah threatening to break Abigail's chickens wings unless she forks over a percentage of her pie money.

Instead of cement shoes, they stick a guys head in the butter churn and give him "the paddle".

I tried it once as well. I haven't bothered to watch again. I thought it was a complete farce.

Just watched the first episode, it really looks directed. I mean some amish guy comes up to your door with a problem , guy comes out of door, and says nothing about some camera crew filming, I would be like ***!!.The guy goes back into his house telling him to go away, and amish guy then proceeds to his car, to get a shot gun out, and blows a hole through the other guys windscreen, yeah right...... Thats evidence, caught on tape, and shown on national tv lol

The entertainment industry is pretty much nbased on source amnesia. For you non-psych majors, that's when you know something but your brain doesn't record how or when you learned it. So, we all know what a car is, but probably can't can't recall when it was we learned that. Source amnesia has all sorts of weird after-effects; like when you see something and go "I remember that!" and get a bit of a warm fuzzy. (It's why so many projects are based around securing the name of something old. "Battleship: the Movie" is better than "Generic Alien Invasion: the Movie.")

Anyhoo; this show seems perpetrated on the principle, given those weird Amish infigting stories from last year.
