    TCM remembers

    http://www.tcm.com/mediaroom/video/5...Original-.html

It over 5 mins long but really good, just have to wait for the ad to end before it plays.
Its a tribute to who we've lost this year.

    I like TCM

They're the last bastion of non remake decent movies

I'm a big fan of TCM, as well.

I saw part of that the other night on TCM. It's a nice tribute. I knew Andy Griffith had to be in there...

And yes, TCM may be the LAST cable network that hasn't totally violated it's original mission statement. I really enjoy it.

            I'm bored with Andy Grifith

there's only so many times I can keep watching the same episodes

The world lost a lot of the great ones this year, among them some of those who gave the world of fantasy, sci-fi and horror some of it's most memorable films. They will all be missed...

William Windom- Matt Decker from Star Trek
Ralph McQuarrie- Responsible for the look of the entire Star Wars universe
Herbert Lom- Hammer's own Phantom of the Opera
Carlo Rombaldi- Special effects man behind King Kong '76
Michael Clarke Duncan- Attar and The Kingpin
Jonathan Frid- The one and only Barnabas Collins
              Phyllis Diller- Mad Monster Party
              Ernest Borgnine- The Black Hole
Ray Bradbury- Too many to list...best friend of Ray Harryhausen
Richard Zanuck- Planet of the Apes producer
              Turhan Bey- Universal's Mummy series
