Not one to brag, but I just got a new tv (last tv was 10 years old, and weighed a ton), that's completely blown me away, Im not even into gadgets, (my mobile phone belongs to the jurrasic period). Its a 42" LG 3D smart tv. This thing converts normal channels(films, animation so no need to rush out and buy 3D films) into 3D, with the press of ONE button. You get 4 pairs of glasses, no electronic in them, but just normal cinema type ones. You can muck around with the 3D on it, either having the 3D effect going in, or coming out. The weird ones for me was watching black and white war footage in 3D. I even hooked my old N64 and had mario carts in 3D !! Apart from that, U can hook this thing up to your computer, which works on a Wifi effect, so I can speak to people on skype on the tv, plus internet. U actually get this remote called a "magic stick" which U wave around on the screen like a cursor. Im still trying to figure out how to use all the functions, what happened to the good old days , of twirling a dial to tune in the channels LOL. But seriously Guys if your looking for a new tv, U have to check this out !!!!!
I paid a lot less than this, and they threw in a blue ray player, all in all, just under a $1000, but speaking to a friend in the Uk, he bought a 47" for what I paid, so shop around.
