Knowing how imitative kids are, what makes you think that they won't try drinking out of a toilet after seeing this movie?

And if anyone says that kids are today are smarter than that, just how many of us tried to fly like Superman by jumping off of the garage roof with a red towel around their neck?

My friend Rabbit (his nickname) was a stuntman in California, and HE tried doing that as a kid. Ended up breaking his collarbone and catching hell from his parents.

I'll tell ya what. My 19 month old doesn't need to see someone in a movie drinking out of the toilet to have the idea of drinking out of the toilet. He had his arms elbow deep in the toilet at daycare trying to lap the water out of his hands. They're kids. It's entertainment. If you don't want your kids imitating movies, don't go to the movies. I've seen worse in kids movies.

I'm all for movies being made for kids. I just think they can be done without having the characters eat and drink out of a urinal.

Wow. Just watched it. Isn't that what dogs do? Honestly that sequence was so stupid I can't even picture kids laughing at it.

After having watched both of them, I can live with the HKP stuff (as long as they can clean the CGI up a bit and it doesn't spiral down into an endless array of stereotypical kung-fu mockery). I didn't really mind the whole "drinking out of the toilet bit" 'cause I had a dog that used to do the same thing. I think they might want to pull the urinal cake part, though, as it MIGHT give little kids too many ideas and you'll wind up with a rash of five year olds in the emergency room for having eaten urinal cakes. As a cat owner, I did love the whole fact that the cat knew all along EXACTLY what was going on while HKP was totally clueless...

I actually liked the MtM footage, but I agree, the voice is completely wrong (as are pretty much all the WB animated character voices ever since the passage of Mel Blanc) and the little kid already annoys the heck out of me. But I do like the way they have Marvin himself animated; he is realistic while still retaining the necessary cartoony quality that makes him MtM....
