Mine were all wrapped. The wife however came from an all open family. So to compromise we do a half and half with Kaitlynn. The big stuff (such as this year's Dora Dollhouse) will be out in the wide open set up and ready to go while the cool stuff (aka the things I picked out) will be wrapped.

While I see the merits of both sides, for me there is no better thrill than seeing the big reveal on a persons face (young or old) when unearthing the prize inside. I hope to have as many cameras rolling as possible in the morning

Santa gifts were always wrapped growing up. my wife always had them unwrapped. so for our kids we do Santa gifts unwrapped and under a different tree from our gifts to them, which are wrapped

Stuff from Santa was unwrapped, best I can remember. I know Santa brought me a Fort Apache one year that was all set up on a big piece of plywood.

As far as I recall everything was wrapped except for things like bikes which would have a bow on them. My wife's family only wrapped presents from family and left "santa's presents" unwrapped.

Everything always wrapped, Part of the fun was building and applying those sticker to my Gi joe vehicles

Even when my mom didn't have a dime and had to give us second hand used toys for x-mas..she found a way to wrap them up and make them look like new....we were very little so we didn't even know the difference

All wrapped. I never got big things for Christmas like bikes and such (that was birthdays). My presents always came wrapped and always had batteries installed in whatever doll I got that crawled or cried or whatever.

Definitely wrapped and still wrap today. Nothing more exciting as a kid than to tear through the wrapping paper to reveal the prize inside!!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

Open and assembled, ready to play with.....Santa doesn't package his gifts in my house.

I love hearing about all the different traditions.
