    Kill Me Now!

I'm generally a pretty healthy guy, don't get sick too often etc . . .
Well, I've been down with the FLU all week. This stuff is killer . . . wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. High fever, I feel like every muscle in my body has been hit with a hammer. I will be investing in a FLU shot next year.

Get well. I know what it's like. As Joe mentioned about being sick in a previous post, I seem to catch a lot of germs my kids bring home even though they all seem to have very strong immune systems (they hardly ever get sick).

The one downside to a flu shot is that the CDC needs to predict what strains of flus are going to hit and produce flu vaccines to ward off those strains. If they are wrong, the vaccine is completely worthless. I get a flu shot every year and have still get the flu sometimes.

This is a bad flu season (at least up here). On one day last month, 30% of my son's Middle School school population was out sick with the flu. That is extraordinarily high.

              be careful
my 19 year old healthy college student next door neighbor got the flu and it went into his spinal cord and he was paralized for a few weeks and had to go to rehab after.
              hes doing much better now

It ran through my house last week fortunately no where near as severe as yours Jim. I hope you feel better soon.

I don't have the flu, but I have this really awful cold that feels like the flu. I'm on vacation now and I've been taken out by this blasted cold. So you have my deepest sympathies. Feel better.

It is no fun for sure. I was in the hospital for two days, got out Sunday, with a terrible strain of the flu. There is really nothing you feel like doing except for laying in bed and staring at the ceiling, I could not even get the strength to turn on the laptop. Feeling better now though, get well soon.
