Michael Vick to the Jets?!

I saw this one coming a few weeks ago. This article is hysterical and as of about 5pm EST, it's all anyone is talking about on sports radio. Make no mistake about it, the Jets are the laughing stock of the NFL around here and everyone can't wait to see what (terrible) move they'll make next. I can only hope this will become a reality because once the Jets get their mind set on something they hold on to it and don't let go, like a pit bull, so Vick should fit right in (yeah I went there and so will everyone else once he signs with Gang Green).

On a side note, I'm a big believer that if you commit a crime once you pay your debt to society, you've paid for your crime which you committed and there seems to be this feeling that Vick is this changed man after doing hard time for dog fighting (and in all fairness, he probably is.) But does anyone remember that just before the Dog-gate story broke, Vick was getting crucified in the media for beating a woman and intentionally giving her herpes. Yeah, this was a thing that happened and somehow (dogfighting) society collectively forgot about. Rehabilitated or not, this guy has been a world class jerk for some time. Stay classy Jets, stay classy.....

The Jets should go after Alex Smith, not Vick.

Jets aren't smart enough to go after Smith. Gee lets go after the failure instead. A failure in football and in life. I can't stand Vick. But i hate the Jets more. This story makes me smile

I have been a Jets fan sice I was a kid and I always will be but this move just makes me sick to my stomach. I have never liked Vick and I like him even less after the dog fighting.

forget the dog fighting stuff for a minute here...If we're talking football..Vick is a major upgrade to Sanchez, tebow or Alex Smith...He's a freak athlete that would definitely make the Jets better..Love him or hate him.. the dude can play. He might not fit all systems but if they add a decent back and a good WR, the jets are business.. Great move if they can pull it off

although I think a few teams might try and get him, he'd be great in Arizona

Dude ..., You try to do something behind that Offensive Line ..., besides just staying Alive for a Quater. I swear ..., sometimes it seems People Just don't understand Football. The 2nd that Dude Hikes the Ball, He's Running for His Life to do something. Brady Would Be Dead Let Alone Last 10 Games at it. I'd love to see Vick Behind Brady's O line ...., or Even Ryan's ....., Then I would make such statements. Dog Hater, Ron Mexico..., Whatever ...., His Performance, Like him, or Hate Him, was so Much More, than Him . The Frick'in Eagles Burned Around Him imo.

I don't know how much Vick has left. He was great his first year back, but has absorbed a LOT of punishment since then, and seems to be getting increasingly frail (not counting the concussion, because that's a different type of injury). It just seems to me that he's been playing with constantly broken ribs or similar for about two years. Maybe not his fault due to the lack of an O line, but still - it takes a toll.

Like Vick will do better behind an O-Line that gave up 11 sacks?
