Who had a Burger Chef?

As we stroll down fast food memory lane here, who had a Burger Chef in town? They had the best cheeseburger Happy Meals, always cool stuf. Its nothing but a car lot and a good memory now.
Those little plastic baggies always kept the burgers warm.

Never heard of it until the 80's when I read about Burger Chef premiums in a book and thought "Chef" was a typo for King

I remember it well. Ours started as Burger Queen which was the first one built in the country. It was in Middletown which is part of Louisville. Later it became Burger Chef and now it's Dairy Queen. It's not often you see the same structure survive all of these changes, but it has.

Yup, we had one, it's a parking lot now. It was a nice memory from my youth going there, good burgers as far as I can remember. I still have a Burger Chef gold coin that was suppose to give me a free hamburger, I guess that ship sailed...

I was telling my wife about Burger Chef the other day and her response was "burger what".

We had Burger QUEEN, with a little Queen Bee mascot on the sign. It went out when I was really young and then became a Druther's. Druther's only lasted a few years and got REALLY nasty before it went out. My parents and most of the town stayed away like the plague. The building is still there, and it's been an auto parts store, a bar and now a used car lot office.

Burger Chef and Jeff! Not Happy Meals. Fun Burgers and Fun Meals. That memory is so 1973. Micky-Dee's swiped the idea from them. We had one. It became a Hardees and is now vacant.

We had them. I know of one building still standing. I think they sell appliances out of it now, or something like that. We used to go all the time if I remember right. But they have been gone forever.

We had one, I think they were one of the first chains to add the salad bar.
Because they were INCREDI-BURGABLE!!!
