In my neck of the woods, Macy's is just a location in a Christmas movie.

That place is always empty and overpriced. JC Penny is like the "cheap" store but Macy's sells all the stuff the mall sells only for way less. It's not just clothes or clearance stuff either...I just bought a ton of those K cups for my Krueger coffee maker for $8 apiece when every other store has them for no less that $11
Maybe back East Nordstrom is empty but here in the NW where they were founded Nordstrom is king. Their return policy is ridiculously customer-freindly (there's rumors in the past they have taken back clothes that weren't even theirs) and they sell quality products. My wife has relatives in Vancouver, BC and they can't wait for Nordstrom to open a few stores next year. Also, they cater to a higher-end clientele and make no bones about it.

I actually like Penney's now. They don't have sales, they have what they call 'everyday pricing' and they are starting to carry higher-end brands. Great for kids clothes and I'm a graphic tees junkie and their selection off tees is outstanding. They carry toys again in a limited selection and we were able to pick up xmas gifts for the kid, his friend, my nephew, and my much younger sisters all for low prices - barbies, monster high junk, and melissa & doug puzzles. They had retro Big Wheels for something like $17.

My sister loves Macy's and Nordstrom, but she also likes the much much cheaper Ross for some low priced clothes as well.

My personal favorite clothing store is Casual Male XL Big & Tall, aside from necessity (lol), I like their selection, a tad pricey, but hey, I almost have no choice, lol.

Because of dopes like me. Actually, this was a B-day gift from work earlier this week.

Dang right, I don't buy my clothes at a hardware store; I get them at the farm supply store! I can really rock a good pair of $10.00 Schmidt jeans.
