I always get a bit sad on December 8th. It trully was the day the music died. Below is an image of a B/W I drew back when I was in 12th grade.

Sad day indeed , I use to train a lady that her daughter was Yoko Ono's assistant and she told me Dec.8th you can't even talk to Yoko

I never get attached to celebrities, so I don't get sad on an anniversary like this, however, it was tragic what happened to Lennon, so I sympathaize with your feelings.

I remember my mother waking me up for school earlier than usual and telling me to come in and see what was on the news. "Imagine" was running over top that massive crowd that had gathered for a candle light vigil. It was a very sad day. It was interesting too. Even my parents, who never liked Lennon or the Beatles, felt sad. I think Lennon's death allowed his message of peace and tolerance to finally connect with his most harsh of critics. I saw as much remorse as I saw sadness. It was an amazing day. He touched so many more people than he realized. And his message continues.
